“What is that, Grandma?”
“ It is a jar of batteries.”
“Are they new or used?” Tyler
asked.
“I'm really not sure.” Grandma
grinned
“Then why are you saving them? Are
you going to recycle them?” Tyler was intrigued
“No, actually they are a
conversation starter.” Grandma answered
“Well, how would that work?”
Tyler asked picking up the jar.
“I don't know. You tell me.”
Grandma laughed.
Tyler sat the jar back down on the
table and looked at his Grandmother as a huge smile overtook them at
the same time.
“Oh, Grandma!” He chuckled.
AHA. We are both hooked aren't we Susan. These things are habit forming. Good Job.
ReplyDeleteCute story, Susan. Grandma threw out the line and Tyler swallowed the hook. Very cute. Welcome to Friday Fictioneers. I'm looking forward to more from you. The photo prompt will be up on my page Wednesday by 5:00 am CST.
ReplyDeleteI know it can be a pain but, for future reference, you might get more reads by entering your URL on the linkz tool. This is the tab below the instructions with the little blue froggy face. If you click that the rest of directions are pretty self explanatory.
Keep coming back!
That's so cute. Guess he started a conversation without knowing it. Great job. Glad to have you aboard, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun and so realistic! Just the type of thing Grandmas and Moms should do. Welcome and thank for the enjoyable story.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute story!
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm! Maybe I should have carried one of those jars around when I was single...
ReplyDeleteNice story!
Lovely story, all grandmas should be like this one. I can almost see the twinkle in her eye.

"You tell me." I'm going to remember that and shamefully use it whenever I can. Thanks.
